FACTS: What does Rate Direct do with your personal information?
Why? Financial companies choose how they share your personal information. Federal law gives consumers the right to limit some but not all sharing. What? The types of personal information we collect and share depend on the product or service you have with us. This information can include Social Security number and date of birth, account balances and payment history, credit history and credit scores, employment information and income, and assets and liabilities.

Definitions and additional state-law rights
Affiliates: Companies related by common ownership or control. Rate Direct's affiliate is Loan Factory Inc., the licensed brokerage through which Rate Direct originates loans.
Nonaffiliates: Companies not related by common ownership or control. Rate Direct does not share with nonaffiliates so they can market to you.
Joint marketing: A formal agreement between nonaffiliated financial companies that together market financial products or services. Rate Direct does not jointly market.
How we protect your personal information: To protect your personal information from unauthorized access and use, we use security measures that comply with federal law. These measures include tokenization of highly sensitive information (raw Social Security numbers are not stored on our servers), encryption of all data in transit and at rest, multi-factor authentication on all administrator access, role-based access controls, audit logging of every access to your sensitive information, and secure disposal of records no longer required to be retained. Our written information security program complies with the FTC Safeguards Rule, 16 CFR Part 314.

Vermont residents: We will not share information we collect about you with nonaffiliated third parties, except as permitted by Vermont law, such as with your authorization.

We do not sell your personal information. No mobile information will be shared with third parties for marketing or promotional purposes.
